Al Jourgensen wanted something truly biblical. He asked me to come up with my version of the seven Sins, and then cut me loose with FX make up artists Miho Suzuki and Jessica deBen, and production designer Ryan Patterson, who also helped come up with the overall gruesome feel of the creatures. I wanted to start with a gorgeous model, and pervert that utterly to separate my idea from the traditional “pretty girl sin” experience. Ryan pushed poor Sloth to the very edge of her comfort zone by gluing real bugs onto her skin, definitely the best bit of the BTS video by videographer Taslimur. Now we’re talking Ministry!

A Ministry 7 Sins story wouldn’t be complete without Al as Jesus, of course. Body double Elijah Sound got us as close to the Son of God as we could get without getting struck by lightning.
